The West Lawn Devils are formerly known as the West Lawn Hawks. The Hawks were established in 2002 by Ed Schwartz and were members of the CMBA League. In 2004, the team changed their name to the Devils and after a merger with the A’s, the team had it’s first winning season, going 24-22. The following year, the Devils would find themselves in the league championship only to be swept by the Flyers. The Devils have had a tougher go of it in the past two years, but hope to compete for the title in 2009.

The Evergreen Park Diamondbacks are a semi-pro baseball team that plays in the South Side Wooden Bat League and are members of the AABC-Stan Musial Division, and NABF. The league plays double-header games every Sunday from May until September. The team was created so that players from Evergreen Park and the surrounding Chicago area could have a place to play after high school and college. Founded by Joe Cipolla in 1995, the Diamondbacks are the hold Four League Championships and Four first place division titles.
